the morning drive to old Town. Visit the Blue Mosque, the Hippodrome where chariot races
were held in Roman times and Hagia Sophia, church built by the
Emperor Justinian in the sixth century. After lunch tour the
Topkapi Palace museum with its priceless
jewelled objects and the Porcelain collection. Overnight. (B/L)

ISTANBUL/ ANKARA

In
the morning transfer to the airport for an early flight to Ankara.
Upon arrival visit the remarkable Anatolian
Civilizations Museum and the Mausoleum
of Kemal Atatürk. After lunch drive along the Salt Lake
to the Cappadocia Region. Dinner and overnight. (B/L/D)

Sightseeing
in this unique corner of the world: Visit the rock carved churches,
monasteries with a spectacular atmosphere in the valleys of
Göreme, Zelve,
Avanos, see the settlement at
Uchisar and visit the underground
city of Kaymakli used by early Christians
in the region. Lunch at restaurant . Dinner and overnight at

Transfer
to Konya and visit the Tomb of Mevlana, the great mystic poet and
Islamic spritual leader who founded the sect of "Whirling
Dervishes". After lunch continue to Pamukkale, the Cotton

6 : PAMUKKALE / APHRODISIAS

Stroll
through the ancient Roman city of Hierapolis, see the theatre, necropolis
and departure for Kusadasi. En route visit Aphrodisias, known throughout ancient
times as a center of sculpture and arts. Tour the odeon, theatre
and magnificent stadium, the bats and local museum. Continue
to Kusadasi. Arrival, dinner and overnight at the hotel. (B/L/D)

Morning
drive to Ephesus. Tour the ancient city of Ephesus with marble
streets, magnificent amphitheatre, houses and temples and the
house of Virgin Mary. Lunch
at restaurant. In the afternoon departure for Izmir, birth place

the morning visit the Hellenistic Acropolis of Pergamon and the Asclepion, the earliest health center
of Asia Minor. After lunch continue to Canakkale. En route

city of legendery Helen of Troy and Trojan Horse. Dinner and

the morning drive to Istanbul. Cross the Dardanelles Straits
