OTTOMAN PALACE SHOW |
|
What
is included to this party depends on the extend
one wants to go and the budget. Basically tent,
wall decors and light and soun effects are used
to create an Ottoman palace scene. There is a cast
acting as the people of the palace, Sultan himself
and his wife, soldiers, servants, atc. To supplement
the historical and oriental atmosphere, dinner can
be served on low brass tables. Old style local dresses
are distributed to the party members.
Upon
arrival to the site, street vendors meet the guests
and offer them a taste of local food and drink.
One can also add shoepolish man. Fortune teller
and even set up a traditional Turkish coffee shop
in one corner and handcraft stands to the other.
Show
usually includes Turkish classical music orchestra,
folk dance groups and oriental dancers. Possible
to add old military band, gipsy dancers, Turkish
music chorus and oil wrestlers. Folk dances can
be in pure traditional form or can be in stylized
form mixed with modern ballet steps. A live dance
band is also optional.

| TRADITIONAL
MARRIAGE SHOW |
A
traditional Turkish marriage is a long process lasting
several days. This show tries to enliven the rich
cultural traditions and rituals surrounding the event.
Decors, old dresses, most common festivities and rituals
before the marriage, folk dances, special rhymes and
songs are used to give one a glimpse of Turkish folk
heritage during a two and half hours period.

| SULUKULE
NIGHT |
|
“Sulukule”
is a district of Istanbul mostly occupied by Turkish
Gypsies. This show brings scenes from the colorfull
lives of these people, especially from their life.
Street bands, oriental dances, street fights...
An especially entertaining scene is the Sulukule
wedding party, which always turns to a showplace
for the bachelor men to show off all their dancing
skills to potential brides. About three hours.

| ROMANCE
NIGHT |

Cocktails
and dinner under candlelight. Violin players during
the coctail hour and dinner. Then live or disco
music to play the show hits of the 50’s and 60’s
. Dancing to the tune of memories.

| MOONLIGHT
CRUISE |
|
Cocktail
and buffet dinner on board of a private yacht or
lovely old steamer depending on group size. Cruise
starts a little before twilight so the guests on
board can enjoy the eye catching scenery of the
Bosphorus. The background music accompanying cocktails
and the view of the old wooden villas can be from
a Turkish classical music group or from a guitar
player or from a jass trio. Dance music starts with
the dinner.

NIGHT |
|
For
the smaller groups. A night relying more on decor
than showbiz. Roman setting in a centuries old cistern
turned restaurant, Roman dresses for the guests,
wine from earthenware jugs, harp player and Roman
dancers.

| TURKISH
BATH PARTY |
|
Could
be with lunch or dinner or with drinks only. In
a tradional old Turkish bath reserved only for the
party members, guests relax on the hot marble, get
washed and messaged by trained masseurs while listening
Turkish music and watching the belly dancer.

| KEBAB
PARTY |
|
A
very famous “Kebab House” in a very typical and
well kept corner of Istanbul is decorated in old
style with low tables and with the colors and clothes
of Anatolia, the heartland. Cold starters followed
by the kebeb specialities of the southwestern Turkey.
Service and variety stops only when one says enough.
A folk singer brings in another touch from Anatolia.
Nothing fancy : all very simple and typical but
a meal to remember.

VENUES |

Places
with great atmosphere. St.Irene, the gardens of
the Archeological Museum, Grand Hall of the Museum
of Paintings and Sculptures, and more to choose
from. (Government permit needed for most of these
places). Full catering can be arranged together
with special lightning; all for a very special night.
Classical music orchestra or something more down
to the earth, modern ballet or stylized and modernized
folk dances potpourri of various regions. A fashion
show from a Turkish designer, very famous in this
part of the World for her creations with oriental
touch and rich embroidery. Again a night difficult
to forget.

AND PICNIC AT THE FOREST |

In
the Belgrade Forest jogging and then barbecue picnic
on wooden tables. If requested competitive games
and traces can be added.

| RALLY
IN THE BELGRADE FOREST |
|
This
is a game rally where a pre-plan of the route will
be given to the participants. This takes place in
the Belgrade Forest. At certain places there will
be an award waiting for them.
