SULEYMANIYE MOSQUE

Built by the great Sinan for Süleyman the Magnificent between 1550 and 1557, it has four slender minarets on the outside, a symbol that Süleyman was the fourth Ottomon sultan, while the ten galleries which run along the minarets refer to the fact that he was the tenth sultan of the reigning dynasty.
