One of the most surprising complexes in the region are Derinkuyu & Kaymakli huge underground cities. Below the nineteenth century church are seven stories of rooms, corridors, kitchens, a conference room, cemeteries and churches which were hewn out in time until they covered, on communicating floors, an area of 4 squarekilometers, capable of accommodating 20,000 inhabitants.
