NIGHTS / 5 DAYS
DAY
1 : ............ /ISTANBUL
Upon arrival at Istanbul Atatürk airport, the group
will be meet and assisted by our stuff. Luggage delivered
to the hotel by separate vehicle. Before boarding the de-luxe
air conditioned coaches young men and women dressed in traditonal
costumes will present flowers to the ladies and offer Turkish
delights to the group members.
Uppon
arrival at the hotel, guests will be led to the MEGA Destination
Management courtesy desk to complete their check-in procedures.
Refreshments will be served at the hotel during check-in
while guests " luggages is taken to their rooms. Welcome
kits distributed with the keys. Rest period.
Evening
transfer to the Asien side of Istanbul via 2nd
Bosphorus suspension bridge for gala welcome dinner at Hasir
Beykoz, one of the famous meat restaurants of Istanbul.
Coctails served on arrival by a string trio.
After
dinner dancing time with live music. Return to the hotel.
Day's small present already in the room.
DAY
2 : ISTANBUL
After
buffet breakfast meeting time. For the accompanying spouses
morning excursion to Camlica Hill for a panoromic view of
the city and taste of Turkish coffee. Lunch at the hotel.
Leave for orientation and Byzantine Art tour. Visit Underground
Cistern, Hippodrome and the Basilica
of St. Sophia. Before visiting the
interiors of this architectural masterpiece, a brief lecture
to be given on the history of Istanbul and Turkey together
with refreshments in the cool garden. Cocktail and dinner
at a famous modern restaurant with live music by top artists.
After dinner those who are lively will be dropped at a disco.
Others return to the hotel .
DAY
3 : ISTANBUL
After
buffet breakfast leave for Ottoman Art tour ; visit
Suleymaniye Mosque and Topkapi Palace.
Visit the Turkish Islamic Art Museum
. Lunch at a centuries old Byzantine cistern now renovated
as a restaurant. Transfer to the world famous
Grand Covered Bazaar and free time for shopping. On the
way back to the hotel those who want can make a short visits
to a Turkish bath. (Our staff guide will be with them.) Others
return directly to the hotel. Coctail will be served at the
Paintings and Sculpture Museum where there will be a demonstration
of modernized oriental dances. Dinner is at a typical district
of Kumkapi where there will be entertainment by street musicians.
DAY
4 : ISTANBUL /................
After
buffet breakfast Bosphorus cruise on board a charming old
steam boat. Refreshments. Views of the lovely Ottoman wooden
villas along the shores of Bosphorus followed by a fashion
show by a famous Turkish designer are the morning suprises.
Seafood lunch at a typical restaurant right on the Bosphorus
shore.
From
the following three alternatives one can be choosen as the
afternoon activity. Visiting the antique market for those
who are interested, visiting art galleries, or more historical
sightseeing.
Farewell
party; A Ottomon Palace show. Tents to create a historical
atmosphere, low tables, costumes for the guests, street
sellers, shoe polish man, fortune teller, Turkish coffee
shop, belly dancers, folk dancers, gypsy dancers and a dance
band to spice up a rich menu of local and international
specialities.
DAY
5 : DEPARTURE FROM ISTANBUL
After
breakfast transfer to the airport. Luggage goes by separate
vehicle. Assistance with check-in.
